Ion Bank has hired a new manager for its Woodbury branch.

Michelle Forbotnick will be a vice president.

“Michelle’s extensive experience in providing financial services and retail banking will enable her to help businesses, individuals, and families attain their financial goals. She prides herself on the level of personalized service she gives to all,” Senior Vice President and Retail Banking Manager Laura Gallinoto said in a statement.

Forbotnick brings over 15 years of experience to Ion Bank.  She was previously vice president and branch manager at Webster Bank in Southbury and prior to that, the Southford branch manager for Newtown Savings Bank.  Forbotnick is a board member of the Southbury Business Association and has actively worked with Southbury Food Bank on several initiatives. She was previously a member of the Seymour Oxford Rotary and the Valley Chamber of Commerce. Forbotnick is Moody’s certified.
