Jewett City Savings Bank President and CEO Michael Alberts was been elected to the Connecticut Bankers Association board of directors at the CBA’s annual meeting on Sept. 21.

Alberts will serve a 3-year term.

The Connecticut Bankers Association represents the financial institutions in Connecticut, serving as the  voice of its members while supporting and promoting legislative and regulatory actions at the state and federal level that benefit the general welfare of its member institutions, the banking industry, and the people of Connecticut. The CBA also provides its members access to educational programs and costeffective services.

“It’s an honor to have been elected to the Connecticut Bankers Association Board of Directors. The  Association plays an instrumental part in allowing us to provide our neighbors and community with the services they need to reach their financial goals. I look forward to seeing everything we accomplish for  the CBA member institutions, the banking industry, and the people of Connecticut over the next few years,” Alberts said in a statement.
