South Windsor OKs New Distribution Center

Scannell Properties received the OK for yet another distribution center in the Hartford area.

The South Windsor Planning & Zoning Commission approved the firm’s proposed 182,000-square-foot distribution facility at 240 Ellington Road at its Nov. 12 meeting.

The site sits just off Interstate 291 at Exit 4.

The Indiana company recently completed a 403,000-square-foot speculative manufacturing and distribution facility in nearby Cromwell. The firm also has built a 292,000-square-foot auto parts distribution warehouse in South Windsor and this summer received approval for a 421,000-square-foot project elsewhere in the town.
