A group of long-delayed mixed-use buildings planned for the area around Hartford’s Dunkin Donuts Park may begin construction this fall.
Stamford-based RMS Cos. plans to start work on the projects soon, the Hartford Business Journal reports.
Hartford’s City Council approved the selection of a new developer, Stamford-based RMS Cos., following an RFP process earlier this year. The ballpark’s first main contractor had placed liens on the so-called “DoNo parcels” in response to being removed from the ballpark project; however, a judge ruled the city did nothing wrong in firing the firm and removed the liens earlier this summer.
RMS recently helped renovate the Goodwin Hotel in downtown Hartford and is deeply involved in redevelopment projects in downtown New Haven.
